Former office block transformed into apartment scheme to go under the hammer

A former office building in Solihull has been transformed into a block of nine apartments and is set to be sold at auction next month.

The canalside property, Olton Wharf, goes under the hammer with a guide price of £700,000 plus at SDL Auctions Bigwood’s auction at Villa Park on Thursday 14 February.

The building has been given a new life as a residential development, now comprising one two-bedroomed and eight one-bedroomed apartments.

When fully let, the properties are expected to provide an annual rental income of around £75,000.

Jason Lee, national sales manager at SDL Auctions, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for investors looking to build on their portfolio in the Solihull area. The apartments are truly stunning and it’s well worth booking a viewing before the auction so you can see the high standards for yourself.

“The location of this development really couldn’t be better and I would expect the apartments to to be highly desirable among young professionals and Birmingham commuters.”
