Scott Arms Properties builds for the future after £1.2m funding package
A BIRMINGHAM property development company is constructing its first site of new build houses after securing a £1.2m funding package.
Scott Arms Properties, which was established in 2011, is building 22 properties at a plot on Amie Lane, Great Barr. The homes include 10 three-bedroom houses and 12 two-bedroom apartments.
The business has employed builder Peter Jennings Ltd to complete the development alongside a team of sub-contractors. The 30 workers have constructed half of the planned properties at the 1.4 acre site.
Scott Arms Properties received a boost last month when the firm was named the Midlands and Wales winner in the Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards Medium Development of the Year category, which recognises exceptionally designed properties that improve the standard of living for homeowners.
Once the Amie Lane site is completed the business, which has already sold its first house on the development, is looking to identify a new plot of land in the Great Barr area for its next project.

The funding has provided a lot of work for the local community in a time of uncertainty for the property sector.”
