Focus secures £1m contract extension with HSBC

FINANCIAL software supplier Focus Solutions Group has secured a £1m contract extension with HSBC.

The Leamington Spa firm said the money from the deal would be recognised during the current financial year.

Under the terms of the contract, HSBC will extend its wealth management financial planning system, which was initially developed by Focus Solutions. The extension of the system will be rolled out to more than 600 users from January 2011.

Richard Stevenson, chief executive of Focus Solutions, said, “We are delighted that HSBC have extended their contract with us to support their wealth management strategy. It is testament to the architecture and design of the solution that it can be extended to support other areas of their (HSBC) business as their ambitions grow and evolve.

“This is further evidence that Focus Solutions has the products, the experience and the skill to support the world’s leading financial services organisations with multi-channel wealth management and product distribution.”

Focus supplies multi-channel distribution software to the global financial services industry.

The focus:360° solution is at the heart of the deals and brings together three key areas of expertise: software, consultancy and service delivery. The integrated approach means clients can distribute any product across any channel. At the same time they can maintain an enterprise-wide view of the customer value and risk.

Clients include eight out of the top 10 UK Life & Pension providers, a number of leading bancassurers including the likes of HSBC and Irish Life, significant wealth management firms such as St James’s Place and a number of mortgage providers.
