People: Manager hire for property developer and investor; Two directors join building society board; and more

Oakapple Group, the Leeds-based property developer and investor, has expanded its team with the appointment of Arun Mistry as development manager.

Mistry has more than 20 years’ experience within the construction and property industry, having previously held positions with both Waterman Group and Wilton Developments.

His track record includes a number of significant schemes across the north of England, including the master planning through to delivery of the 715,000 sq ft Turbine Business Park in Sunderland.

Denis Hall and Richard Coates have joined Skipton Building Society as non-executive directors.

Hall joins with over 30 years experience in senior risk management positions at GE Capital, Deutsche Bank, and CitiBank. He brings to Skipton a wealth of experience and expertise in risk management, consumer lending, change management and governance.

Coates joins the board having spent 30 years in senior roles at KPMG. He is a non-executive director for TPT Retirement Solutions where he chairs the audit, risk and compliance committee, and was formerly the managing director of a past Skipton Group subsidiary, Baseline Capital. He was also a non-executive director of Northern Rock, from 2008 to 2010, and chair of the audit committee at Co-Operative Bank, from April 2013 to October 2016, when he retired from the board.

Front, the Sheffield based creative agency, has grown its senior creative team with the appointment of Frankie De Giorgio.

De Giorgio, who has joined from WPA Pinfold in Leeds, will focus on both campaign and branding work for the agency’s clients which include Regatta, Costcutter and Chester Zoo.

Creative director Chris David said: “Frankie is a really talented creative with some fantastic ideas and we are delighted that she has joined us – especially as the next few months will be an exciting time for the agency with several high profile briefs encompassing both branding and campaign projects.”
