Industrial development site up for sale

Keyland Developments has launched to market the former Colne Bridge treatment works site in Huddersfield which has planning consent for 40,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation.

The 3.5 acre site is located off Colne Bridge Road, between the River Colne and the Huddersfield Broad Canal in an established industrial area around three miles to the north east of Huddersfield town centre.

Keyland secured outline planning consent towards the end of last year to bring the site back into use as a job creating industrial development comprising 40,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation over nine units of varying size from 1,950 sq ft upwards.

Ryan Unsworth, development manager at Keyland Developments, said: “We are delighted to bring the industrial development site at Colne Bridge to market after successfully securing planning consent to unlock its potential. The site is situated in an excellent location and presents a fantastic opportunity for a developer to bring the existing outlined plans to life. This would have an extremely positive impact on the locality, promising new jobs and new opportunities.”

Hanson Chartered Surveyors has been appointed to market the site.

Jason Metcalfe at Hanson Chartered Surveyors said: “The new industrial units would assist with the severe regional shortages of accommodation for small to medium business and provide an overflow to the neighbouring industrial parks which are operating at full capacity. The release of this land to the market will be welcome to many owner occupiers in the town seeking expansion opportunities.”
