Where do you live/where are you from?
I moved to Bradford from the North East as a child. I now live and love being in Adel. There is lots to do, and it’s close to the countryside.

What is your favourite place to visit in Yorkshire and why?
The Cow and Calf has a lot of good memories from when I was a child. Sunday afternoons spent having a great lunch and a walk.

What is still on your “to do” list in the region?
I always enjoy a visit to historic York and a fat rascal in Bettys. I also recommend Harrogate for the baths and Rudding Park for a round of golf.

What is your most Yorkshire trait?
I’m starting to wear a flat cap. A good dose of Yorkshire frugality serves me well in business.

Favourite piece of trivia about the region.
Zayn from One Direction is from my old village in Baildon.

What is your favourite cultural icon to come out of Yorkshire?
David Hockney. A world-renowned artist and you can appreciate his work at Salts Mill.

First experience of Yorkshire (for non-Yorkshire folk)
A visit to York Minster and the Shambles. It gave me a sense of the history of the region.

Worst experience or thing about Yorkshire?
I travel a lot and spend more on the M62 than I would care to think about.

What is one thing you’d steal from Lancashire (or other UK regions) if you could?
We wouldn’t mind some of Manchester’s footballing success. I wonder if we can lure Pep Guardiola to Bradford City.

What is the most overrated thing about Yorkshire?
As a coffee drinker, I would say Yorkshire Tea.
