Assets up for sale as printing company ceases trading

Assets belonging to a printing company, which had clients including Carillion, NHS, Unilver, John Lewis, are up for sale after the company ceased trading and all nine staff were made redundant.

Rethink CMYK specialised in digital printing and was based on Shortwood Way in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The company ran into financial difficulties as a result of difficult trading conditions within the print industry and closed on April 30.

Sheffield-based insolvency specialists Kelly Burton and Lisa Hogg from Sheffield-headquartered Wilson Field were appointed as joint administrators for the company on May 10.

Kelly Burton, director and licensed insolvency practitioner at Wilson Field said: “Despite attempts to negotiate terms with an essential supplier, the company had insufficient cash to continue trading and sought specialist advice.

“The company ceased trading on 30 April and all 9 jobs were made redundant.

“We are now seeking purchasers by way of public auction for plant and equipment.”

Asset disposal is being dealt with by John Pye & Sons
