Parklane Group completes office move following £600,000 revamp

Parklane Group, which comprises a portfolio of property and leisure brands based across the UK, has relocated its head office in Leeds to accommodate further business growth.

The family-run company has taken the third floor of Northgate, located on North Street in Leeds city centre.

Around 60 employees have moved into the new 5,000 sq ft space, which underwent a £600,000 refurbishment programme.

Parklane relocated to Northgate after being based at its Headingley office for the last twenty years.

Naveen Ahmed, managing director of Parklane Group, told TheBusinessDesk.com: “We’ve been on Otley Road for twenty years and when we moved there we were just a letting and property management office.

“But fast forward the last 12 months and we’ve been growing at quite a pace, which has forced us to keep reconfiguring our offices at Headingley until we were bursting at the seams. We also had people working in satellite offices all over Leeds, and there was an inefficiency in that.

Commenting on choosing to move to Northgate, Ahmed said: “For us, we were looking to move but it was about the right opportunity and where do we move to. This building is within the group and owned by the family so this opportunity was perfect for us.”

Although 60 employees have made the move, Ahmed also noted that the company has “about five years growing space” at the office, allowing it to accommodate more staff and expand in other parts of the building.

Ahmed added: “For us the office is about the heart of the business. We have social spaces, communal spaces, kitchens and a lounge, so it’s very much like a home. It is a place that we enjoy, meet and collaborate.”
