Robotics specialist Sewtec has appointed two highly experienced managers as the company continues to experience significant growth both domestically and overseas.

Sewtec’s transformational growth follows a management buyout in August 2017, which was backed by Leeds-headquartered private equity firm Endless.

Sewtec designs and manufactures high-technology factory automation systems for global blue-chip clients in the food, pharmaceutical, personal care and tobacco industries.

Chris Mapledoram and Kelvin Hawkes have joined the company as technical sales manager and senior project manager respectively.

Sewtec’s managing director, Mark Cook, said: “It’s great to be able to welcome more than 40 combined years’ of engineering experience and knowledge to our team as we undergo transformational growth.”

The company has recruited 20 staff in the last year to take its headcount to 80 and has plans to add another 40 people in the next four years.
