Architectural firm bought out of administration

The business and assets of a Brighouse-based architectural firm have been sold by administrators Deloitte.

HW Architectural went into administration last month with the loss of 74 jobs at the aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling business.

The new owners currently have an aluminium business called QIC Trims which services the interiors market with dry lining trims, glass partitions and access panels.

A core team of previous company employees will be engaged to re-launch HWA.

Lee Whittaker, general manager of HWA told Construction Enquirer: “We’ve been looking for a number of years for a business in this sector and we are excited to have secured such a recognisable brand, we intend to hit the ground running and look forward to hearing from, and meeting our customers.”

Adrian Berry, joint administrator and partner at Deloitte, said: “HW Architectural had an excellent reputation but were faced with challenging economic conditions and we wish Lee and his team every success re-establishing the HWA business.”
