Wilson Field steps into the ring with boxing champion

WILSON Field has thrown its weight behind rising boxing star Adam Etches by becoming a sponsor.

Adam ‘The Bomber’ Etches from Birley is the current IBF Youth Middleweight World Champion and has been sponsored by the Sheffield-based insolvency and business turnaround specialist since 2010.

Eches, who became part of Ricky Hatton’s stable of talent Hatton Promotions two years ago, said: “It’s great to have a well-established Sheffield-based company behind me.

“It means a lot to know I have their full support and I look forward to a long lasting relationship with them.”

Nick Wilson, managing director of Wilson Field, said: “Adam is a young Sheffielder with a great talent and we are delighted to be his sponsor.

“Everyone at Wilson Field is so proud to support a local athlete who is really taking the boxing world by storm.”

Etches currently boasts a professional record of 12 wins from 12 fights, registering 10 knockouts in the process, and the sponsorship will go towards Adam’s living, training and travel expenses, enabling him to keep up boxing as a full-time career and fulfil his potential.

Wilson Field also has offices in Leeds, Manchester and the West Midlands, with a further five planned to open in 2013.

Etches is also supported by Napoleons Casino & Restaurant, Owlerton Stadium.
