Popular business park snapped up in multi-million pound deal

A POPULAR South Yorkshire business park has been acquired in a multi-million pound deal.

The Wright Business Park at Carr Hill in Doncaster has been bought by J3 Business Park Doncaster.

The site, located near to plumbing and heating manufacturer Peglers and wire rope manufacturer Bridon, comprises 23 acres and is occupied by a mix of local and national businesses including Hallgarten Wine and railway infrastructure contractor, Volkerail.

The acquisition was funded following a new financial agreement with Santander Corporate & Commercial.

J3’s Alan Morris said: “This site has always had a strong occupier demand on varying lengths of leases and we intend to make some improvements and changes to enhance the attraction of the estate to occupiers.

“This part of Doncaster with its links to the motorway network and industrial cluster remains popular to occupiers and we feel that this will not only continue but demand will improve as the economy strengthens.”

Mick Graham, relationship director at Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to help fund this acquisition. The team at J3 have a good reputation and excellent track record and we are confident that they will make a success of this purchase.”

Partner John Flathers who heads the Leeds Real Estate team at Irwin Mitchell acted for Santander.

Paul Pennington, partner at the Doncaster office of HLW Keeble Hawson, acted for the buyer.

The buyer was assisted in the purchase by Matthew Brouwer at Barnsdales in Doncaster.
