Yorkshire law firms in merger talks

TWO of Yorkshire’s leading law firms, Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley and Denison Till, have announced that they are in merger talks.

The firms are both dedicated to the region’s mid-market and it is hoped the combination of the two firms will create a stronger platform.

Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley’s managing director, Richard Marshall, said:  “The Denison Till team have built a tremendous and high quality law firm serving the vibrant York and wider North and East Yorkshire markets.  Combining our two businesses will create a tremendous platform to jointly better serve that market.”

Denison Till’s managing partner Jonathan Cripwell said: “The prospect of a merger with Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley is a very exciting opportunity and would provide us with a stronger platform from which to serve our clients with a greater depth and range of services. We are also excited at the prospect of working with Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley to develop a wider regional offering.”

Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley is one of Yorkshire’s top ten law firms and has offices in both Leeds and Sheffield.

Denison Till is a long-standing York firm.
