Yorkshire software firm makes move ahead of expansion
A SOFTWARE firm has moved to larger premises as it prepares for further expansion this year.
Cimlogic is almost doubling its office space as it moves from Baildon Mills to 6,000 sq ft premises in Saltaire. It is also looking to recruit five senior people to help increase turnover from £2m to £2.6m in the next 12 months, on the back of consistent growth over the past two years.
The company specialises in industrial automation and manufacturing execution systems (MES), and works with household names in the food and beverage, medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries including Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Weetabix and Wrigley.
Cimlogic said increased demand for lean manufacturing and improved efficiency using the latest IT systems and technologies has boosted sales at the Bradford-based business.
Managing director, Mike Hodge, set up the business in 1997 and now runs it alongside director, James Sykes. The firm has a team of 26.
Hodge said: “UK manufacturing gets some bad press, but it really is a powerhouse. The key to staying competitive is increasing efficiency, and this is where IT systems linked to lean manufacturing can help.
“Moving to Salts Mill will give us double the space we have currently and excellent transport links, as well as allowing us to provide a dedicated customer training facility. It will also accommodate our future expansion and recruitment plans as the company continues to go from strength to strength.”
