Strong start to 2014 for recruiter

FINANCE and accountancy headhunter Watson Moore has hailed the thriving Yorkshire market, as it reports continued revenue growth.

The recruitment firm, which has an office in Leeds, said it net fee income was up 70% for the three months to the end of March. The business said it had placed 17 finance directors/chief financial officers in the first quarter compared to 35 in the whole of 2013. The firm, which also has a Manchester office, has taken on six experienced consultants in the past 12 months.

Managing director, David Moore, said: “Whilst we feel that we have always operated at the very forefront of qualified and FD recruitment, we have now firmly established ourselves in the corporate finance, practice, and part qualified markets and we’re eager to continue to grow our presence in these areas by adding great people to our business, especially in our Leeds office.

“We’re excited by the thriving Yorkshire market and our continued success in the region is key to our development and growth as the North’s premium accountancy and finance recruiter. We have built a fantastic network over a long time and it’s brilliant to see that in the end, it is relationships that count.”
