DEBORAH Laidlaw, a specialist in family law including divorce, finances and children disputes, has joined Stowe Family Law in Leeds from Irwin Mitchell.
She has worked in Yorkshire all her career and has close connections to Leeds, in particular, where she attended BPP Law School before starting her training contract in 2010.
Laidlaw has previously worked closely with Court of Protection clients and is a member of both Resolution and Young Resolution.
This is the second appointment Harrogate-headquartered firm has made in the last two weeks. Experienced family law solicitor Kate Rayner recently joined the firm’s Wilmslow office.

INVESTMENT manager Standard Life Wealth has added to its Leeds team.
Edward Marsden joins the business from Brewin Dolphin with more than six years experience and expertise in managing discretionary portfolios.
He will further enhance the Leeds-based team of 10 who now manage assets in excess of £600m across a range of private clients, assets held in trust, personal and corporate pension schemes and charities.
This growing team remains wholly committed to offering a unique and bespoke investment proposition to clients based across the North of England, seeing further opportunities to expand over the coming years.

VO4, one the UK’s leading voltage optimisation manufacturers, has appointed Mick Greensmith as national sales manager after seeing demand for its range of products grow.
Mr Greensmith, who has been with the company for over three years, was previously responsible for the Northern England region. As national sales manager he will now be in charge of developing a sales strategy for maintaining VO4’s market lead and the company’s continued growth across the UK.
Since being established a little over four years ago, VO4 has developed a network of re-sellers and distributors, to market the company’s range of products, including solar PV suppliers and electrical wholesalers.
