Olympic champion to headline YIBC 2015

DOUBLE Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah is to headline next year’s Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC).

The recently crowned Bupa Great North Run 2014 champion will speak at The Spa, Bridlington on June 5, 2015.

Following sell outs in Bridlington in 2013 and 2014, YIBC bosses believe the capture of Farah for next year’s staging will further fuel the growing interest in the event.

Mike Firth, founder of the YIBC, said: “I am absolutely delighted to announce that Mo Farah will be the headline speaker at YIBC 2015.

“It is another fantastic coup for us and this news will excite everyone looking to attend the event next year. Mo has run his way into both the history books and the hearts of the British public in recent years with his achievements in athletics but his life story is equally as fascinating and I am sure he will inspire all attendees on the day.

“We are delighted with the continued and ever growing support that YIBC receives from the region’s business community and we are grateful to each every sponsor and delegate that makes the event arguably the most prestigious and highly regarded business convention of its kind in Europe.

“It is due to this support that we strive to attract some of the best speakers from across the globe each year, and 2015 will be no different.

“Throughout next year we will be announcing the rest of the speaker line-up to whet the appetite of delegates ahead of June 5, so watch this space.”

Farah will speak about his athletics career, the commitment and devotion needed to become an Olympic Gold medallist as well as his incredible life outside of running.
