Quality Context hits turnover target

A SHEFFIELD business which specialises in improving regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry has celebrated its fifth year in business by hitting its £1m turnover target.

Quality Context, founded in 2009 by director Kate Krachai, develops and implements integrated quality management systems for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Krachai said: “I am delighted to see Quality Context go from strength to strength over the past five years. We are proud to be a Sheffield business that operates worldwide. Some of the biggest brands in the world and many well-known household products pass through our laboratory and I am thrilled we are celebrating five successful years, seeing our turnover increase year on year. The future looks extremely positive for the business and our staffs’ commitment and dedication to the company will ensure that we will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.”

Since she set up the business, Quality Context has seen turnover increase from £77,000 in year one to now operating at over £1m per year. Staffing numbers have increased from one to 18, with plans to hire up to an additional ten employees within the next year, creating more local jobs.

As part of the business’s growth plan it invested more than £300,000 in opening a brand new state-of-the art laboratory last year, located at the Bioincubator at the University of Sheffield.
