Appointments: Town Centre Securities; WSP; LEBC; Ford Campbell Freedman

TOWN Centre Securities has appointed two new non-executive directors.
 
Ian Marcus and Paul Huberman will join the Leeds-headquartered property business.

Marcus holds a number of posts including chairman of the Prince’s Regeneration Trust, a Crown Estate Commissioner and chairman of the Bank of England Property Forum.

Huberman brings more than 27 years’ experience in the property and finance sector. He was previously finance director at quoted property companies Grantchester Holdings and Asda Property Holdings and managed pubs group Regent Inns.

Edward Ziff, chairman and chief executive said: “I am delighted that Ian and Paul are joining Town Centre Securities. Their combined experience and knowledge of the sector will add significant strength to the executive team and the board.

ENGINEERING consultancy WSP has made two senior appointments.

This adds to the expansion of the team, which has grown by 35% this year.
The business has recruited 65 new members of staff across its multidisciplinary consultation services, thanks to a raft of new projects wins both regionally and nationally.
 
Rob Williams has joined the group from CH2M Hill as technical director in WSP’s infrastructure business in Leeds and Kevin Stubbs arrives from Mouchel as environment technical director.
 
The now 252 strong-team secured a number of high profile projects in Yorkshire in 2014, including a transportation study to examine options for improving connectivity to Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) for the Department for Transport (DfT).

SIMON Turner has been appointed director of business planning at national IFA, pensions and employee benefits consultancy, LEBC Group (LEBC).

Turner,  who’s new role is based in Yorkshire, was previously regional head of financial planning for the Northern region for Grant Thornton.

Jeremy Macleod, chief operating officer at LEBC said: “Simon is a great addition to the LEBC team. He has experience of working with the complex and technically challenging areas of financial planning both in the private client and corporate arena.

“This appointment shows a real commitment to recruiting at a senior level to help with the development of the business and we are always looking to strengthen the management team further. Our recruitment ambitions are also focused on developing and helping young talent to evolve and in the past 12 months we are really proud our consultant numbers have increased by 20%.”

ACCOUNTANTS and business advisers Ford Campbell Freedman has promoted Dale Coleman to partner.

Coleman, who joined the Leeds-based firm in 1999, advises large owner managed businesses across a range of sectors on audit and accounting issues as well as providing advice on acquisitions, disposals and strategic planning.

He said: “I’m delighted to be promoted to partner and very much looking forward to expanding our client base of owner-managed businesses and driving forward our strategic finance offering in the marketplace.”
 
Kevin Frisby, senior partner, added: “Dale is an extremely talented individual. He has worked on secondment with several clients and has a broad experience base.
