Safestyle’s expansion plans gather pace after record profits
Company has "high hopes" for its move into conservatory refurbishment next month

SAFESTYLE UK, the Bradford-headquartered window and door manufacturer, is continuing its geographic and product expansion after announcing record profits.

Chief executive Steve Birmingham said “impressive revenue growth” and improved margins were the drivers in achieving a record level of profit in 2014.

Underlying pre-tax profits showed a 10% increase to £16.8m, which rose fractionally higher than revenue, which was up 9% to £136m.

“We have continued to increase our market share and therefore maintain our position as the leading player in the highly fragmented and competitive replacement window and door market,” said Mr Birmingham.

“The business is well positioned to build on these results as the general economy and repair maintenance and improvement market continues to recover.”

He added: “We are very excited about our entry into the conservatory refurboshment market, which we will roll out in April at eight of our 32 sales branches. We think that is potentially a very large and under-served market we have very high hopes for.”

Safestyle is also continuing its expansion into the south and south east, having opened a branch in Watford last month and is plans to open another branch in Surrey in the second half of the year.
