Cocktails and chemisty as Living Ventures brings new bar to Greek Street

LIVING VENTURES, the bar and restaurant group, have seized a golden opportunity, opening a new Alchemist location on Greek Street.

Following the success of The Alchemist in the Trinity Centre, the company have announced they will be opening a second Leeds venue this summer, replacing cocktail bar Prohibition on the well-known street in the professional services district of Leeds.

The Alchemist currently has 4 existing bars in Leeds, two in Manchester and in the City of London, this new site will be the fifth site to open and the second within 12 months.

Trinity was the first Alchemist out of Manchester across the Pennines.

Paul Moran, managing director said: “Since opening in Trinity in 2013 The Alchemist has been hugely popular, so it is with this in mind that we thought a second bar in Leeds would be the natural next step for the brand following the success of our second bar in Manchester a couple of years ago.

“We think the brand will fit in perfectly to Greek Street which we know well and will bring something new to the area.”

Cheshire-based Living Ventures revealed further expansion plans to TheBusinessDesk.com’s Chris Barry in the North West, with several new openings this year expected to create “several hundred” jobs.

Group sales across the business before VAT would be £85m this year.
