Land Securities names Gerald Jennings’ replacement

PORTFOLIO director Rob Jewell has been appointed to oversee the London-based firm’s Leeds shopping centres.

Flagship centre Trinity Leeds and White Rose will be under Mr Jewell’s patch. Previously he was working on Land Securities’ West End portfolio in London, overseeing the digitalisation and expansion of Piccadilly Circus. He joined the firm from ING in 2011.

Before this, Mr Jewell had a career as a professional rugby union player for Gloucester Rugby, NEC Harlequins, London Welsh and Padovas in Italy.

Ailish Christian-West, head of shopping centres at Land Securities, said: “Rob is an asset to the Land Securities team, and will continue the great work in Leeds and Glasgow. Leeds is especially important given that Trinity Leeds and White Rose have achieved so much for the city and its regional economy. His energy and fresh outlook complements our contemporary and loyal catchments in the region.”
