Cheers! As Leeds Brewery launches sixth bar and restaurant

AFTER signing a “six-figure” funding deal with NatWest, Leeds Brewery has invested in launching a pub and restaurant, creating 15 jobs.

The Lamb and Flag will be located on Church Row, in a Grade II listed building adjacent to Leeds Minster.

It will be the sixth venture that Leeds Brewery has opened in the region. The company already has a hospitality portfolio consisting of the Crowd of Favours, off Kirkgate, The Brewery Tap, next to the railway station, and The Midnight Bell, located at the heart of the Round Foundry development.

Other venues include The White Swan, on an alley off Briggate, and The Duke of York in York.

Sam Moss, director of Leeds Brewery, said: “When we established the brewery eight years ago, there was no independent brewer in Leeds and since then we have grown the business to be the largest brewery in the city, producing up to 70,000 pints a week.

“The Lamb and Flag will be like our other pubs. Beer will be central to the drinks menu but there should be something for everyone with a great wine menu, spirit selection and soft drinks range. The venue itself is in a great location and we are ensuring the Lamb and Flag reflects the history of the area with its décor.”

NatWest senior relationship manager Tom Smith said: I was delighted to support Leeds Brewery with the opening of The Lamb and Flag. The company has a great portfolio of established pubs across Leeds and York, and I wish The Lamb and Flag every success for the future.”
