Double Asia deals for listed companies

LISTED company Digital Barriers and its Stock Exchange fellow Fusionex, which has a main base in Sheffield, have signed major Asia contracts.

Digital Barriers the Pudsey-based provider of advanced surveillance technologies has received two new contract awards in its Asia Pacific region.

The first is a follow-on contract worth £1.45m with a defence agency in Asia Pacific to supply its ISP solution for use in the protection of a maritime security zone.

The second award is for the Group’s ThruVision solution with a government agency in Asia Pacific, which reveals concealed weapons or goods under clothing.

It can detect metal and 3D-printed guns, liquid and solid explosives, and trafficked contraband such as currency and drugs through multiple layers of clothing at stand-off distances of 10 to 15 metres.

The contract is valued at £450,000 and also for delivery this financial year.

Zak Doffman, chief executive officer of Digital Barriers commented: “These two contract awards continue our strong sales momentum.

“We secured more than £3m of new sales in November, and our year-to-date sales for delivery this year have increased 57% overall on the same period last year, and 140% in our international business. All of this gives us increasing confidence in an operationally break-even second half to the financial year.”

Second up is Fusionex,an AIM-listed software provider specialising in analytics,Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT)

It’s Fusionex Insights, Big Data analytics software, gas received a regional patent office registration in Asia.

The client receives circa 50,000 patent applications every year and is tasked with strengthening intellectual property laws and providing comprehensive and useful information on intellectual property.
