£165m Victoria Gate to launch as four more retailers are revealed

THIS morning, the much-anticipated £165m Hammerson development Victoria Gate, will open its doors to the public.

Prior to its launch, it announced four new brands for the development this week, including Cath Kidston, Bailey Nelson, Ghost and Diverso.

Cath Kidston is launching a 1,033 sq ft site, whilst London hertiage fashion house Ghost is taking on 861 sq ft for its clothing line offering. This will be the first boutique outside the capital for the business.

Also opening for the first time outside of London, Bailey Nelson is set to bring its selection of glasses and sunglasses to Leeds with a 645 sq ft store next to Aspinal of London.

Menswear brand, Diverso is another new brand coming to Leeds, with a 645 sq ft unit, the third in its portfolio.

The new additions join a mix of retailers and restaurants, including Le Pain Quotidien, Neom Organics, Hackett, Tommy Hilfiger, Anthropologie, GANT, Calvin Klein, and international restaurant group D&D.

Robin Dobson, director of retail development at Hammerson commented: “We are delighted that we’ve continued to debut great new brands in Leeds. With only a few days to go until Victoria Gate opens, Cath Kidston, Bailey Nelson, Diverso and Ghost are all exciting additions which will soon propel Leeds to the third top ranking shopping destination outside of London.”
