British figure skating championships1. British Figure Skating championships
Date: Tuesday 29th November – Sunday 4th December
Location: iceSheffield, Coleridge Road, Attercliffe, Sheffield

This weekend witness the best in British figure skating as they compete to be crowned national champions of the ice rink. The annual British Figure Skating Championships – which are often hosted in Sheffield – will span over six days this year, with men’s singles, ladies’ singles, pair skating and ice dancing.

Craft fair2. Craft & Artisan Fair
Date: Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th December
Location: Flemingate shopping centre, Beverley

Shoppers will have the opportunity to treat friends and family to unique handcrafted gifts this Christmas as Flemingate’s popular indoor Craft and Artisan Fair makes a welcome return to the centre this weekend.

The monthly artisan craft fair has already proven successful with stalls at the fair in high demand by local artists and craftspeople. New and established artists and craftspeople will be showcasing and selling their products at the indoor fair at the weekend from 11am until 4pm.

Ghost hunt3. Ghost Hunt
Date: Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th December
Location: Leeds Industrial Museum, Leeds

Join the UK Ghost Nights crew on a late night ghost hunt in Leeds at what was once the largest wool mill in the world. A place that has seen many tragic accidents and deaths of all ages, it is thought that some of these poor souls still remain.

This Saturday, from 8pm to 2am explore the museum with a tour from an expert historian, ghost hunt workshops, vigils with expert investigators, glass swirling, table tipping and more.

Toymageddon4. Toymageddon
Date: Sunday 4th Decemeber
Location: Grand Hall, Scarborough Spa

Toymageddon, formerly VTAC is back this winter in the run up to Christmas giving guests the chance to browse and purchase classic toys and collectibles from over 50 stalls.

The Great Gatsby5. The Great Gatsby
Date: Thursday 1st – Saturday 31st December
Location: Theatre Delicatessen, Sheffield

Don your 1920s dress and put on your dancing shoes as from this weekend onwards, The Guild and Theatre Deli will be presenting a unique, immersive theatrical experience down on the Moor in Sheffield.

Created across Theatre Deli’s labyrinthine building, the adaptation of F.Scott Fitzgerald’s seminal romance novel has been described as “exciting, free-wheeling and energetic..utterly invigorating stuff” by the British Theatre Guide.
