Nottingham construction firm wins slice of £14.5m Center Parcs contract

Nottingham-based multi-disciplinary construction company, Edmond Shipway, has been appointed mechanical and electrical consultants on a £14.5m project to create a new water ride and new water play areas at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest.
Work has recently started and is expected to be completed by summer 2019.
The development will include a new family raft ride and a range of children’s play water features.
Edmond Shipway, which has offices in Phoenix Park in Nottingham, will be providing mechanical and electrical consultancy services for the challenging project, which involves major infrastructure modifications to high voltage networks and heating plants. All of this work will be carried out in a live environment, with the park remaining open throughout.
Director of mechanical and electrical services at Edmond Shipway, Daman Ranby, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Center Parcs once again on a fantastic project. Having recently completed a similar feature water ride at Center Parcs Longleat Forest, we have been able to seamlessly transfer this knowledge and experience to Sherwood Forest. This new water ride is a fantastic addition and I’m pleased we are able to add real value to the building services systems that are going to be installed.”
