Turner takes the top job at trade organisation

Christine Turner FCA of Trner & Co has been elected as president for accountancy trade body ICAEW Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln.

She assumes the voluntary role alongside that of Director of Türner & Co, an accountancy practice specialising in international tax.

Supporting over 3,000 ICAEW chartered accountants in the area, Turner’s role as president will focus on building close connections with and between members by developing new events and initatives, particularly for those new to the profession or recently-qualified.

Turner said: “It is an honour to serve as President, especially during the centenary year of the first woman being admitted to ICAEW membership. I am excited about creating a new group for those new to the profession or recently qualified and engaging with ICAEW members across all sectors and age groups in the region.”

Ben Jeays FCA has also been appointed deputy president and Caroline Peverett FCA as vice president.
