A £12 million care home development in Northamptonshire which is expected to create 100 jobs has reached a major milestone.

Deeley Construction is building the new 66-bedroom nursing home in Brackley on behalf of Kingsley Healthcare Group.

The development has now reached its highest point and a traditional topping out ceremony has been held to celebrate the achievement.

The care home will feature en-suite bedrooms and living space for residents as well as communal facilities such as a cinema room, library, café, hairdressing salon, quiet lounges and a conservatory.

Representatives from Brackley Athletic FC under-9s Girls and 5th Brackley Scout Group – both of which have received £500 each from the companies behind the development – attended the ceremony.

Peter Deeley, managing director of the Deeley Group, said: “We are thrilled with the progress of this scheme on behalf of Kingsley Healthcare Group and it is great to reach the highest point of the development.

“It has been a very strong partnership and, ultimately, that will bring great community benefits – not only providing a much-needed care home but also creating a significant number of jobs.

“On top of that, we were delighted to welcome Brackley Athletic FC and the 5th Brackley Scout Group to the topping out and it is great to be able to support two great local groups which are committed to giving local young people great opportunities to be active.”

Kingsley Healthcare’s chief investment officer Muj Malik added: “We are excited to be working on this state-of-the-art care home project in partnership with Deeley Construction.

“Kingsley Healthcare is passionate about providing facilities of the highest quality for residents in our homes.

“We are proud to become part of the Brackley community, providing a valuable amenity and creating more than 100 jobs.”
