Breedon upgrades full-year guidance after strong Q4

Leicestershire construction materials firm Breedon has said it expects its full-year results for 2020 are set to be ahead of expectations after a “positive” fourth quarter.
The firm said the upturn in trading has continued into December, helped by good weather, and that it now expects EBIT for the year to be around £75m.
In a statement, Breedon said: “The medium term outlook for our markets remains positive, however, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit negotiations create continued economic uncertainty, resulting in limited visibility on trading conditions going into next year.”
The company will announce its preliminary results for 2020 on March 10.
