Experian gets go-ahead to reconfigure landmark Nottingham office

How the offices will look

Experian’s plans to become a carbon neutral building by 2030 have taken a step forward after plans to reconfigure its flagship Sir John Peace Building (SJPB) in Nottingham have been given the go-ahead.

The global information services giant will increase its disabled parking provision, turn part of its offices over to projects like beekeeping, food growing, community gardening and include spaces for staff exercise in the new environment. Cycling storage will also be increased.

The move comes as Experian looks to reduce its UK offices from 17 down to five. The SJPB will become a regional hub. The firm will use land to the south of the building to accommodate 200 extra car parking spaces as well as electric vehicle charging points.

David Bates, CFO at Experian, said: “I trust we have demonstrated our long-term commitment to Nottingham as a major regional hub for our business and hope we can work in partnership, with NCC, to create an exemplar campus at SJPB, that not only focuses on sustainability but places Experian at the heart of our local community. “

The scheme has been designed by Maber.
