New partnership set to boost access to private equity data

The University of Nottingham has signed an agreement with investment data firm With Intelligence to expand access to information held by its Centre for Private Equity and MBO Research (CMBOR).
Based at Nottingham University Business School, CMBOR was founded in 1986 and holds a database of more than 48,000 European private equity-backed buyout deals.
Its data tracks trends in volume, value, sector, region, structure, and exits, and is used regularly by policymakers, academics, and industry professionals.
As part of the partnership, With Intelligence will integrate CMBOR data into its own products, broadening its private equity coverage.
The move follows With Intelligence’s wider push into private markets, which has included the acquisitions of Sutton Place Strategies and The Deal.
Professor Kevin Amess, director of CMBOR said: “Collecting data and providing market intelligence has evolved tremendously since CMBOR’s inception. We are very excited to have With Intelligence as a partner, who will take CMBOR’s data and reach to the next level.”
Cornelia Andersson, chief product officer at With Intelligence said: “This is a very exciting agreement for us. By integrating CMBOR with our existing private equity data, we’ll bring further value to our customers looking for opportunities within private markets and improve transparency for investors and capital allocators.”
