Third time’s a charm for Loughborough deli?

A deli and café in Loughborough has been shortlisted for BBC Good Food’s Midlands Best Deli 2016 award, for the third year running.
Located on Baxter Gate, in Loughborough, Delice Deli Café offers a mix of French and British food and drink.
In partnership with the BBC Good Food Senior Food Editor, Barney Desmazery, the Midlands Best Deli award looks for the best hidden gems in the region, and judges the range and quality of international and local produce, knowledge of providence of produce and customer service. The winner will be announced next month.
Sharon Palmer and Laurent Gerbet founded Delice after managing hotels and gastro pubs in the region. Laurent served as a former chef to the Admiral of the French Navy.
He said: “It’s incredible to be have been shortlisted for a third consecutive year. It’s big vote of confidence from our customers and the local community – after all, the support from our customers is the reason we keep being shortlisted.
“As an independent food retailer, we are always looking to source the finest and best produce, both locally and abroad, and provide the best experience we can.”
