It’s a difficult time for business leaders and decision makers, facing increasing external pressures and demands on ever more limited resources and capacity. Whatever your personal views on sustainability and Net Zero, the business case to make your company as sustainable as possible is clear: ignore it at your peril!
At this lunch, Becky Valentine, one of the region’s leading sustainability experts and co-owner at Spenbeck, will take you through the reasons why sustainability and Net Zero need to be an integral part of your overall business strategy and not simply a “nice to have”. She will share cost-neutral quick wins to help you make an immediate impact and get your whole team on board.
Becky Valentine is co-owner and Lead of Sustainability, Wellbeing and Building Health at Spenbeck, a multi- award-winning family business helping businesses, schools and charities flourish.
Winner of the 2022 Business Desk East Midlands Green Leader Award, certified Carbon Literacy Facilitator and retrofit lead for 40,000 sq ft of Grade II listed heritage buildings, Becky leverages her 12 years’ experience in sustainable buildings and operations to help clients embed sustainability and climate change mitigation within their operations, with particular focus on governance, culture and operations to optimise engagement and achieve environmental targets.
Complemented by her former teaching career and current role as Associate Lecturer in Sustainability at Nottingham Trent University, Becky’s expertise is repeatedly sought after for expert panels, lectures, podcasts and feature articles.
