HMRC to miss out after £250,000 Pera Training pre-pack

Pera Training, the collapsed training arm of the failed Pera group of businesses was sold for £250,000, it has emerged.

The firm was sold in November to Hebburn-based Talent Training (UK) in a pre-pack deal that left some £793,000 worth of debt unpaid to creditors. It has since emerged that these creditors will receive 13 pence for every pound they are owed.

Some of Pera Training’s biggest creditors incide Enable Rail Academy of North Lincolnshire, which is owed £137,600 and Pera Consulting, also in administration, which is owed £186,760. HMRC is owed £275,632.

All 62 of Pera Training’s staff moved to Talent Training when the deal was completed.

At the time Ryan Grant of administrators AlixPartners said: “We are delighted to have secured the sale of the business, preserving 62 jobs and the provision of apprenticeships to more than 2,500 learners. We wish the company and staff all the best for the future.”
