On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Nottingham headquartered alcohol licensing law firm Poppleston Allen has promoted Andy Grimsey to partner.
A former barrister, Grimsey has been advising clients at the firm for over 10 years.
He is a leading figure in the licensing sector having co-drafted the Live Music Act 2012 and been heavily involved in subsequent entertainment deregulation. In 2016 he appeared as an expert witness before the House of Lords Select Committee on the Licensing Act 2003.
Jonathan Smith, managing partner at Poppleston Allen, said: “Of course the partners are delighted Andy has accepted our offer to become a Partner. Andy has worked at Poppleston Allen for many years having helped to lead us through transition and from having never touched licensing when he joined to becoming someone whom authorities and central government approach for advice is testament to the standing he now has in licensing circles across England and Wales. He is also a thoroughly nice bloke.”
