Arrow ECS to close Nottingham office

Arrow ECS, the distributor of electronic components and computer products, has closed its Nottingham office in order to create what it is calling “better business efficiencies”.

The 12,131 sq ft office on Sherwood Business Park is being marketed by FHP and Innes England after Arrow ECS moved its workers to either home-working positions or to its Data Centre Solution in Harrogate or Networking and Security facility in Newmarket.

A spokesperson for Arrow ECS told TheBusinessDesk.com: “Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business has seen quite a significant expansion and development in the UK throughout the past years.

“Based on several successful acquisitions the number of sales offices grew to a total of six. In view of this set-up and following the successful integration of all added businesses, Arrow’s UK enterprise computing solutions management will be closing the office in Nottingham in order to streamline its go-to-market approach and to serve customers and suppliers alike with more efficiency.”

In 2015 Arrow’s global business amassed sales of $22.8bn. It is a Fortune 150 company with 18,700 employees worldwide.
