Mansfield fire and security firm lands Marks & Spencer job

Mansfield fire and security firm Tecserv UK, has been appointed by Eco-1, an electrical installation company, to install fire alarm systems within of a number of new Marks & Spencer ‘Simply Food’ stores located throughout the UK.

Tecserv UK, based in Underwood, Nottingham is one of a number of preferred suppliers working on a project aimed at rolling out new Simply Food retail stores in various locations across the UK.

Tecserv will be installing commercial fire alarm systems within 21 new stores during 2017, and those completed so far include: Chilwell Nottingham, Queens Drive in Liverpool, two in Sutton Coldfield and a number of sites in London.

Each new store will be installed with an analogue addressable fire alarm system utilising Apollo Discovery Protocol. Apollo was chosen because their smoke and heat sensors have a high immunity to false alarms but are able to quickly distinguish a real fire situation.

Using products from manufacturers with such high credentials enable Tecserv to meet high quality engineering standards and customer satisfaction.

Tecserv UK, project Manager Lewis Russell said: “We are very conscious of the need to liaise with other contractors working on each new build to ensure that our installation timetable is kept in tune with other works being carried out. We ensured strict compliance with fire safety regulations and that our phase of the project is completed on time and within budget.”

Eco-1 are based in the West Midlands and specialise in working closely alongside their clients to provide the most efficient, innovative and sustainable electrical installations possible. ECO-1 are dedicated to deliver every project safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality.

John Jenkinson, operations director at Eco-1, commented: “M&S has a very strict global fire strategy. It was important we partnered with a fire solutions specialist that shared our ethos for using green technology as well as the knowledge and expertise required to meet all project deadlines.”
