Nottingham brewery plans new city centre pub

Nottingham brewery Castle Rock is planning to open a new pub in the Carrington Street area of Nottingham.

The firm has lodged a licence application with the City Council for 91 Carrington Street, a former sweet shop just a few doors down from Nottingham railway station.

However, Castle Rock says it may look at other venues in the area, after hitting snags.

A spokesperson for Castle Rock said: “The planning and license applications are still pending and there have been a couple of setbacks. All we can say at this point is that we are exploring a few options with the owner of the site and Nottingham City Council regarding the regeneration of Carrington Street.”

Castle Rock Brewery owns 21 pubs across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, York, Leicestershire, Lincolshire and Derbyshire.
