250-year-old Nottinghamshire hotel up for sale for £4.2m

A North Nottinghamshire hotel is up for sale for £4.2m after the owners decided to retire.

Christie & Co has been instructed to market The West Retford Hotel, an 18th Century manor house hotel with function facilities.

Set within around 4.3 acres of land, the historic hotel includes 63 ensuite guest bedrooms, as well as bar and restaurant spaces, with The Chatsworth Bar & Lounge and The Orangery restaurant both seating 60 guests each.

The hotel also offers extensive function and event facilities, with suites ranging from 12 to 200 in capacity and some with private bars.

David Lee, regional director at Christie & Co who is managing the sale, said: “The West Retford Hotel is a great hotel facility with multiple income streams. The hotel has been developed significantly over the last 20 years by the Lavin family and with a heavy heart the family have decided to sell the hotel to retire from the hotel business. This offers a fantastic opportunity for a new owner to purchase a wonderful hotel which is already very well established.”
