Traffic alert: Canal Street remains closed in Nottingham

Emergency gas repairs on Canal Street Nottingham that have caused huge traffic tailbacks since Monday continue this morning, but it is hoped the road will be open by tomorrow morning (Friday 17 March).

The road is closed westbound from London Road roundabout. Diversions are in place.

Nottingham City Council has removed other works within the area to help ease traffic flow. No other works will go ahead until these Emergency works by National Grid are complete, it says.
