On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Chris White and Dean Waddingham

The arrival of new operations director Dean Waddingham at Hinckley & Rugby is ensuring a game of rugby is a hot topic in the boardroom – chief executive Chris White is a massive Wasps fan and the two teams face off in a Premiership semi-final on Saturday.

Waddingham played for the Tigers from 1978 to 1985 before embarking on a career in financial services, firstly at the TSB and then at the Britannia Building Society where he rose to be head of strategic relationships and head of membership services.

White, a Wasps season ticket holder, said: “The Tigers v Wasps clashes are quickly building into a Midlands derby to rival that of Leicester and Northampton Saints.

“There will be a cracking atmosphere on Saturday and plenty of friendly ribbing this week as we welcome a former Tiger to the Society. Whichever team wins, one of us will be back in the office in Hinckley on Monday with all the bragging rights.”

Waddingham, who went on to work at Clerical Medical, Scottish Widows, NFU Mutual, Aon and Computershare, said: “I am delighted to return both to my home county of Leicestershire and to a role within the building society sector that provides the opportunity to work with a team committed to delivering consistently for our members. A great week could be topped off by seeing Tigers progress to Twickenham.”

Hinckley & Rugby also recently welcomed two new non-executive directors to its board – Barbara Mellish and Nemone Wynn-Evans.

Peak Sensors, manufacturer of temperature sensors to process control and OEM customers, has appointed Dr

Roshan Aucklah as its new managing director.
