On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Fraser Brown Solicitors’ residential property team has been bolstered by three appointments; Carol-Ann Gretton, Megan Andries and Helen Martin-Bell.

Gretton joins from Browne Jacobson, Martin-Bell and Andries from Campions Solicitors.

Head of residential property at Fraser Brown, Richard Wollacott, said: “I’m really proud of the success of the residential property team which is down to the dedication and commitment of its team members. We maintain an approachable and proactive policy and Carol-Anne, Helen and Megan’s appointments will enable us to further support our growing client base.”

Gateley has appointed legal director Fiona Debney to its Private Client team.

Based in the firms’ Leicester office, Debney will working across the firm’s Leicester and Nottingham offices.

Debney, who is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SfE) and STEP and former trustee for the Birmingham Institute for the Deaf, joins from Clarke Willmott where she was head of the Birmingham Private Capital team. Prior to this, she was head of team for the West Midlands and East Midlands at Challinors Solicitors.

Debney said: “Gateley Plc is one of the leading law firms in the East Midlands and this is an excellent opportunity to grow its Private Client offering in both Leicester and Nottingham. I am excited to develop the team and drive the Private Client offering forward.”

Jane Cowley, Family and Private Client partner for Leicester said: “Fiona’s appointment sees us further expand our Private Client offering in the East Midlands and I am delighted to welcome her on board.

“Fiona is our third lawyer in just over six months to join the Private Client and Family teams in Leicester with a focus on specifically developing the Private Client offering across the region.”
