Pirates Play, which was established in 2012 and is based in Sherwood, is owned by husband and wife team Keith and Katy Kerr and employs ten staff.

Katy Kerr said: “We are delighted to have been able to purchase the premises and have plans to invest in more play zones and equipment. We also have exciting plans to introduce a second floor of fun – watch this space.”

Justin Parker, business manager at Barclays in Nottingham said: “Katy and Keith have grown the business since its inception in 2012. I am pleased to support them with the funding required to purchase their premises which will allow them freedom to further develop their offering over the coming years.”
