New Midlands manufacturing chief named

Charlotte Horobin

EEF, the manufacturing organisation has appointed Charlotte Horobin as region director for the Midlands.

Horobin joined EEF three years ago as membership and external affairs manager and for the last nine months she has held the role as interim region director for the Midlands.

She said: “EEF is a key player in the business community of the Midlands and it will have a crucial role in ensuring the region’s future economic success. Manufacturing is vital to help the UK economy continue to grow in this difficult period post Brexit, and at a regional level EEF must continue its work to ensure the sector receives the support it needs to flourish.

“I am delighted to be taking on this role at such an important time for manufacturing in Britain as the new Industrial Strategy takes shape, and I am looking forward to working with our member manufacturers across the Midlands region.”

EEF’s new membership director, Charles Garfit said: “Along with my colleagues on the Executive Board would like to thank Charlotte for the excellent work she has done since taking on the role as interim region director for the Midlands. Since joining EEF she has built up an excellent reputation with both members and colleagues alike. I certainly look forward to working with her and continuing to grow our membership in the region and the value we bring to them.”
