West Mids interest in new Nottingham Grade A office scheme

A Nottingham property developer is marketing a new Grade A office space across the West Midlands, it has emerged.

The plan for new, much-sought-after Grade A offices in Nottingham city centre, at 11 Station Street, was officially unveiled by Bildurn last month.

Bildurn and property advisors JLL, who are representing the scheme, recently met with West and East Midlands agents in Birmingham city centre to launch the scheme.

Managing Director at Bildurn Sean Akins said: “We were pleased to see so much interest in 11 Station Street at our Birmingham meeting as we know agents in the city are seeing increased demand for Grade A office space across the East Midlands, particularly in Nottingham. The agents were very pleased to hear that this development plans to take office space in Nottingham to a new level of quality and were impressed by the location.

“Situated close to the entrance to Nottingham’s train station, which has recently had a multi-million pound refurbishment, 11 Station Street is also at the very centre of the city’s world-class tram network in the Southside area. The agents said this was an ideal location for businesses reliant on sleek transport connections who were looking for a well-connected base in the Midlands.”

Director at JLL James Keeton added: “The Birmingham meeting was very well attended, with guests keen to hear more about the timing, scale and location of the scheme.

“We had some very positive feedback. Some of the agents discussed how they recognised the need for Grade A space within Nottingham and how they were anticipating demand for it increasing this year and next. Others commented on the positive news that Bildurn’s requirement for this scheme is a part pre-let.

“We also discussed what else was happening in Nottingham, including how the office refurbishment market success has contributed towards a growth in rents and how take up is improving. The agents feel that there are some exciting office enquiries in Nottingham at the moment, but limited good quality stock – and they were enthused that 11 Station Street would offer a solution to this problem.”

Following a previous development brief, a detailed planning application is expected later this year before building work commences.
