On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

(L-R) Alison McGowan, Amy Allison and Hester Mills

Langleys Solicitors in Lincoln has promoted three lawyers.

Alison McGowan from the child law team and Amy Allison from the private client department have become partners while Hester Mills, also part of the private client team, has been made an associate.

David Thompson, managing partner at Langleys, said: “As a major employer in Lincoln, it’s important to us that individuals are able to gain experience and progress their careers within our business. This is instrumental in our ability to offer quality advice and support to our clients.

“All of the staff promoted this year are highly deserving of their success and I’m looking forward to seeing them progress further.”

Corby logistics firm, Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG), has appointed David McWilliams as transport operations director.

McWilliams brings more than 25 years’ experience to the business, having held previous senior operational roles at Eddie Stobart and CM Downton, covering both contract management and transport operations.

He said: “The service provided by Advanced Supply Chain is genuinely a cut above – we are able to consistently exceed expectations, but at the same cost base as competitors. I’ve also been hugely impressed by our drivers who are incredibly hard working, and honest and entrepreneurial with their thoughts and ideas. I look forward to working alongside the team to continue delivering a best in class service.”

Mike Danby, chief executive, said: “David is an important new addition to our business who, alongside his operational responsibilities, will also play a role in guiding and mentoring the team. We continue to invest in both our people and fleet, building on our strong performance this year to date and allowing us to provide clients with a service that consistently goes above and beyond, supported by our innovative intelligent logistics technology.”
