Logged-off: Lucy Moss, Accelerate Places Nottingham

Lucy Moss

Lucy Moss, business manager at Accelerate Places Nottingham tells us how she unwinds at the weekend.

How do you relax at the weekend?
Weekends usually involve a lot of socialising with my family and friends. They also usually revolve around lots of good food and drink. My other way to relax is by enjoying long walks with my Labradoodle.

How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
To be honest, I try not to work at all. I do check my emails to see if anything urgent needs my attention though. That’s usually when I know we have members working in the premises over the weekend. I like to be available if they need me urgently.

What’s your favourite:

Holiday destination? I think it would have to be The Maldives. It has just the most amazing beaches and it’s just the best place for snorkeling and scuba diving. I was lucky enough to take my PADI qualification there a few years ago and it was a fantastic experience. I even got up close and personal with a shark!

Book? I can’t say I have a favourite – I only tend to read when I’m lying down on a beach. However, I really enjoy a good thriller or crime drama. I’ve read quite a few of Simon Kernick’s books and have found those really gripping.

Album? I don’t really listen to albums; I prefer a combination of artists and genres for a bit of variety. I do love listening to music though and I have to confess, I’m on Spotify every single day – usually listening to one recommended playlist or another.

Food? I love all food but my absolute guilty pleasure is pizza. Especially chicken and sweet corn. Gorgeous!

TV Programme? I’m a huge fan of Game of Thrones and not quite sure what to do with myself now it’s finished! I’m really happy the Great British Bake Off is back on the TV though.

Website or App? I’m always chatting away on WhatsApp and I find Pinterest really useful when I’m working on projects such as decorating or planning a party. It’s great for new ideas.

How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
With my feet up in front of the TV catching up on shows I may have missed in the week. I usually end up there after a big Sunday dinner and a long walk with my dog.
