Developer plans Lincolnshire village homes

Property developer Venture Developments has bought land to build a cul-de-sac of family homes in the Lincolnshire village of Sturton by Stow.

Ryan Carruthers is masterminding the scheme, to be built on land off Tillbridge Lane, along with Kim Stones and Jamie Sukroo.

The land, which already has outline planning permission for 10 houses, was acquired by Venture Developments from local company Obam Stairlifts.

Venture Developments was advised on the acquisition by Rachael Bacon and Peter Horner of Langleys Solicitors, Lincoln.

The company has managed a string of residential and commercial developments including the conversion of the George & Dragon pub on High Street, Lincoln, into apartments.

Carruthers said: “This is a lovely village on the outskirts of Lincoln and this development will be in keeping with the surroundings.

“We are submitting a full planning application for 10 family homes with between three and five bedrooms each. These will be modern homes with timber cladding, high ceilings, open-plan kitchens and the very latest digital technology.”

He added: “The purchase was a complex transaction but it was concluded very quickly thanks to the experienced team at Langleys, which kept us on track throughout.”

The construction is expected to take no more than two years.

Rachael Bacon, assistant solicitor at Langleys, said: “Ryan and his co-developers are an experienced team with a track record of producing properties that are very popular with buyers. We are pleased to support them through the acquisition and look forward to seeing the development progress.”
