Lincs country house hotel reveals expansion

One of the new rooms at Washinborough Hal

An historic hotel near Lincoln has opened a new six-bedroom extension at its Grade II listed building taking the total number of rooms from 14 to 20.

Washingborough Hall owners Edward and Lucy Herring said they planned the extention in response to growing demand from leisure and business travellers.

“Over the past nine years the hotel has been completely refurbished and in 2015 we built the Winston Room orangery which has provided a beautiful space for weddings, conferences and events,” said Edward.

He added: “Converting the cottage, or Church House as it’s now called, was the next natural progression. As with the building and restoration work we’ve already undertaken, we were keen to provide all the modern-day comforts people expect from a high-quality modern country hotel, while retaining the original Georgian features and we’re delighted with the result. So far the feedback from guests has been amazing.”
